Omg crying bc my dad was a stay at home dad/artist who recognized I had internalized a lot of mainstream Eurocentric beauty standards as young as when I was THREE so he started painting more and more strong brown women in his paintings that I would see all the time and calling out relatives when they’d say some interalized racism/colorism shit…but I never really knew until we talked about it a few years ago and omg CRYYYYING 😭😭😭
